Param Pujya Shri Dhondiram Baba Chavan is remembered at Saidham Mandir for Sai devotion, quiet seva, humility, and care for devotees.
10 September 1936 · 25 May 2012
A life remembered through devotion, seva, and quiet presence.
Born in Shirud, Dhule, Maharashtra, Baba is remembered from an early stage in life as being drawn toward prayer, meditation, Ghodepir Baba, and Shree Sai Baba.
After his family migrated to Kopargaon, he continued worldly responsibilities while remaining rooted in spiritual practice. The memory carried by devotees is simple and direct: faith, patience, compassion, and service.
Sai devotion
His journey stayed close to Shree Sai Baba.
The images and memories preserved by devotees point to a life of prayer, worship, and steady care. His story is carried through presence more than display.

Devotion
A life held in prayer, not display.
The story is not presented through spectacle. It is told through remembered gestures: sitting with devotees, taking part in worship, and offering guidance with a calm, practical presence.

Saidham
A gathering place shaped by faith.
As devotees continued to gather, Baba's Sai devotion became closely connected with Gurusthan, collective prayer, seva, and the living spiritual memory of Saidham Mandir.
His remembrance continues through Saidham.
On 25 May 2012, Dhondiram Baba attained Mahasamadhi. His memory remains closely connected with Saidham's devotional life and the values devotees continue to honor.
