A small home temple becomes the sacred beginning.

Before the larger mandir journey, Param Pujya Shri Dhondiram Baba Chavan created a small Sai temple in his own home. Devotees know this beginning as Gurusthan.

As devotees continued to gather, Saidham grew around Sai Baba worship, seva, and the guidance devotees associate with Dhondiram Baba.

Dhondiram Baba

The devotional life behind Saidham Mandir.

Param Pujya Shri Dhondiram Baba Chavan was born on 10 September 1936 in Shirud, Dhule, and is remembered for simplicity, humility, devotion, and seva.

From an early stage in life, he was devoted to Ghodepir Baba and Shree Sai Baba. After retirement, he dedicated himself fully to Sai Baba worship and service to devotees.

The small Sai temple he established at home became Gurusthan, and that sacred beginning continues to shape the way devotees understand Saidham Mandir today.
